#LittleMisadventureTime is hitting the road again! This time weā€™re ā€œonlyā€ doing a couple months up and down the US West Coast. Mid-May to mid-July. Ish.

Indieweb Summit is in Portland, Oregon on June 4ā€“5.

Summer Solstice in the mountains is June 20ā€“26.

Weā€™re leaving LA on May 16. And driving north slowlyish up to Portland over the course of a couple weeks.

Weā€™re making stops along the way to see friends, do work and try to find a job. (Iā€™m still broke and unemployed.)

    Planned stops include:

    • Paso Robles
    • Santa Cruz
    • San Francisco / Oakland
    • Portland
    • Redwoods
    • Big Sur

Weā€™ll be on a pretty tight shoe string budget, hopefully only spending money on gas. If youā€™re along the way and wanna make us a meal or take us out to eat, weā€™d love that very much.

Weā€™re also open to ride shares that wanna pay gas money for a ride to one of the places on the way.

Regardless of money logistics, weā€™re stoked to get on the road again, to see pretty places and friendly faces.

Iā€™m often asked by vegan friends coming to LA where they should eat. In other cities, itā€™s a shorter answer, but LA is a very big place with lots of vegan options. So, Iā€™m finally writing down my recomendations (in no particular order). Iā€™ll update this list as I go to new places. If Iā€™ve missed something that you think should be on it, email me and if I have eaten there and agree, Iā€™ll add it.

    • Arayaā€™s
    • Cafe Gratitude
    • Clara Cakes (popup)
    • Crossroads Kitchen
    • Cruzers Pizza
    • Donut Friend
    • Erin McKennaā€™s Bakery LA (formerly Babycakes)
    • Flore
    • Gracias Madre
    • Locali
    • Mohawk Bend
    • Organix
    • Plant Food For People
    • Pure Luck (popup)
    • Rahel
    • Real Food Daily
    • Scoops
    • Shojin
    • Veggie Grill

    Yellow

Iā€™m luke warm on these places, but others love them. YMMV.

    • Doomies
    • Sage / Kind Kreme

    Red

Itā€™s my opinion that you shouldnā€™t bother going to any of these. Maybe Iā€™m wrong and maybe you (do or would) love one of these places. But if youā€™re on in LA for a few days, your time is better spent on the ones above.
