@brixen I don't particularly care. Sorry.

@kyle_wm Agreed.
In reply to:@brixen You can go look at their respective feeds over the past 24 hours.
In reply to:@bretolius So for you, Heroku is a flat file host.
Your whole CRUD process is somewhere else.
In reply to:@bretolius You don't write those flat files from your running Heroku app to it's own file system though, right?
In reply to:I do think Shanley is right on about the lack of meaningful diversity in the #indieweb community. We need to work real hard on that.
In reply to:I think the way @aral responded to Shanley is fucking deplorable.
I disagree with Shanley on some (not all) of her technical assessment of the #indieweb. But...
The #indieweb has never been about declaring independence *from* the internet.
It's individuals making independent websites.

In reply to:@uhhhalexvx Maybe.
In reply to:Though, I do think it's great that #indieweb ideas/ideals/experiments/technologies/designs are being exercised multiple languages/tools.
In reply to:I don't like PHP or Node (personal preference) and a fair bit of #indieweb work is being done in those languages.
RT @faunzy: I recently returned to the United States and I'm looking for contract work. If anyone at #GoGaRuCo has any leads… http://t.co/V…
In reply to:I don't think flat files as the primary datastore is a (always) good idea. & it won't work with write only ephemeral files systems (Heroku).
In reply to:I don't think monolithic apps are a good idea. (Most #indieweb implementations have been pretty monolithic, so far.)
In reply to:E.g., I don't think @withknown handing out subdomain URLs is any less vendor fragile than Tumblr/WordPress(.com)/Posterous, etc.
I don't agree with all things that all #indieweb people/projects are doing. But I don't have to do them on my site / in my software.

Saying you should never use a database is like saying you should never use a programming language. There are cases to use or not use both.
In reply to:@dret I disagree. HTML is the lingua franca of the web. Other media types come and go. HTML sticks around. #indieweb

In reply to:In addition to pg as my primary datastore, daily pg (heroku) backups, I also have static HTML backups locally and offsite. Bc I'm paranoid.
Uh, @twitter.
Why is your email's subject to me a question?
