How is this anything but long overdue self defense?

When the police show up at all to a vigil of a murdered child.
When the police show up to a vigil with a show of force.
When the police have fucking tanks on the streets of you home town.
When the police have assault rifles pointed and you and the reporters trying to tell your story.
When police shoot tear gas, flash bangs, rubber and wooden bullets at you in your own neighborhood.
When the police phone operators laugh at you, call you monkeys and hang up on you.

When a third of your boys and men are in some stage of the prison system.
When cops regularly kill without penalty.
When the cops are constantly harassing, brutalizing, arresting and killing you and your people, what is it called if not self defense?
Remember remember that the Black Panthers' original name was the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense.

When communities are comprised of almost entirely of cops, they vote for fascists.

Even when cops' race matches that of the community, cops still have the state backed authority to kill people with no consequence.
The communities the cops work in *never* resemble the cops themselves. Unless it's a neighborhood of just cops.
