Following this thought thru, if Ruby wanted to take a bunch of PHP users/customers, a Ruby port of Wordpress could maybe do that.

If someone wanted to lure away Ruby's users/customers, one way to do that would be to port Rails to whatever language.
I'll add this. Wordless is PHP's killer app in the same way that Rails is Ruby's.
