Portland, Oregon: Where straightedge goes to die.
In reply to:@bleything ok. I yield. You win this one, Gadget.
For me, I gave up the desire to tinker with the twiddly bits so I can focus on my work.
In reply to:@bleything Ah, well played. But you still use @github.
In reply to:@bleything Get over it. You have better things to do than twiddle knobs. You don't roll your own git server. Why roll your own blog server?
My view from the PCH driving to SF. Win. http://gdzl.la/7gGvc1
In reply to:@bleything I reccomend going w/ hosted @wordpressdotcom. Export/migrate later if you hit a serious road block. Like if you need to run ads.
You can tell that a technology is pervasive and commoditized when the homeless guy on the PCH has it. Eg., cell phone.
In reply to:@bleything what do you need to know about WordPress? I use it for several blogs.
Leaving Santa Monica for San Francisco for 3 days of #RubyConf nerdery and job finding.
Ps. Not giving up on LA.

I'll be at #RubyConf in SF this weekend with the main goal of finding a job.
Need a front end rails dev / designer in LA? I'm your dude.
In reply to:@jbarnette I'll be in SF in a couple days. I plan on attending the lobby track of RubyConf.
The best laid plans always fail.
